MICRO certified in mold remediation for commercial and residential work. Free inspections either way.

What we do

Mold Inspection and Testing

We walk the house, read the moisture, and tell you what is mold and what is only staining. Lab sampling when the answer is not obvious.

Mold Removal and Remediation

Affected material out, framing treated, area dried. We fix the water first so it does not come back next summer.

Crawl Space Cleanout

Wet insulation, debris and animal mess hauled out. Most shore crawl spaces we open are one day of work.

Vapor Barrier and Encapsulation

A sealed barrier over the dirt keeps ground moisture out of the floor above. This is what usually ends the recurring problem.

Insulation Removal and Replacement

Sagging, damp or contaminated insulation pulled and replaced the same visit, so the space is finished when we leave.

Attic Mold Treatment

Dark sheathing is usually a ventilation problem. We treat the wood and tell you what is trapping the moisture.

Basement and Foundation Mold

Humid shore basements, sump failures and slow leaks. We clean it up and point out what is feeding it.

Water Damage Cleanup and Drying

Burst pipe or storm water. Saturated material out, drying equipment in, before mold gets started.

Containment and HEPA Air Scrubbing

Plastic up, negative air running, spores kept inside the work area instead of moving through the house.

Post Work Clearance Testing

Independent sampling after the job when you want written proof for a buyer, a lender or your own peace of mind.

Priced after we see the property. If the job belongs to a plumber or a roofer, we will tell you that instead of selling you work.

From Spencer, the owner

"I explain what I see before I quote it, I show up when I said I would, and I am under the house with my crew. That is why people call back and send neighbors."

Spencer, Atlantic Mold Inspection and Removal

A crawl space, start to finish

A leaking pipe, animals getting in, insulation on the ground. One day: everything out, mold treated, new insulation up, vapor barrier down. The homeowner told us the house smelled different that night.

Damp crawl space with fallen insulation and mold staining on the joists before cleanout
Before. Wet insulation on the ground, staining on the wood.
Clean crawl space with a white vapor barrier, new insulation and a dehumidifier after remediation
After. Sealed barrier, new insulation, dry air.

What customers say

5.0 on Google

We had a leaking pipe in the crawlspace as well as some animals getting in. Spencer and his team in 1 day cleaned out the entire crawlspace, got rid of the mold and replaced all of insulation for a reasonable price. Additionally they were all around very helpful and communicative, explaining every step of process. We are so happy with our new crawlspace, the house smells great now. Thanks so much Spencer!

Mr Spencer is one of the most honest, reliable, knowledgeable and professional business owners I have ever had the pleasure of hiring. His work is impeccable. Out of all the mold companies I am so happy I chose Atlantic Mold. Mr Spencer and his crew are quick efficient professional and courteous.

Called this company not knowing what I needed or to expect, Spencer explained, he could come out on Monday and do the job on Thursday. I was shocked to have so fast of service. He is beyond professional, he was there when I called him several times for questions, knows his business and also explained what I needed and gave extra recommendations. My crawlspace is not only spotless clean but I also had a vapor barrier laid down. HIGHLY recommend this company.

Questions we get

Not here? Call (609) 328-8286. We would rather answer than have you guess.

How fast can you get out to look at it?

We answer the phone around the clock and most inspections happen within a day or two. Several customers have had the estimate on Monday and the job done that same week.

What does mold removal cost?

It depends on the size of the space and how much material has to come out. A crawl space cleanout with new insulation prices very differently from one damp closet. We look at it, then give you a price. Call (609) 328-8286.

Do I actually need testing?

Not always. If you can see it and we know where the water came from, testing only adds cost. When the source is unclear, or a buyer or lender wants documentation, sampling is worth it.

How long does a crawl space job take?

Most are one day. Cleanout, removal, treatment, new insulation and a vapor barrier in the same visit.

Will the mold come back?

Not if the water is handled. We tell you what is causing it: a leak, poor drainage, an open vent, no barrier over the dirt. Cleaning a wet crawl space and leaving it wet is temporary.

Why is mold so common at the shore?

Humidity sits high all summer, crawl spaces are vented to damp outside air, and rentals sit closed up between guests. That combination grows mold in houses that are otherwise in good shape.

Do I have to leave the house during the work?

Usually not. We seal the work area and run filtration so the rest of the house stays clean. If a job needs you out for a few hours, we say so before we start.

Do you handle the animal mess and old insulation too?

Yes. Droppings, nesting material and fallen insulation come out with everything else, and the space gets treated before new insulation goes in.

Can you help before a closing?

Yes. Inspection reports turn up mold in crawl spaces constantly. Tell us the closing date and we will work to it.

Do you work on rentals and second homes?

Often. If you are not local we will send photos through the job and handle access with your property manager.

Who shows up to the job?

Spencer, the owner, walks the property and is on site with the crew for the work.
